2004 SWIS District Optimists Sponsor Essay Contest

Earl Brockman was the Chairperson for the District Essay Competition. The Essay topic was "Being the Best I Can Be". Clubs were allowed to submit their winning Essay by February 28.

The winners are as follows:

First Place - Ashley Forer
LaCrossroads High School
Sponsored by the Breakfast Optimist Club of LaCrosse, Susan Miller, Essay Chair.

Second Place - Sara Siegmann
McFarland High School
Sponsored by the Optimist Club of McFarland, Leslie Grenzow, Essay Chair

Third Place - Nick Hendrickson
Monroe Middle School
Sponsored by the Noon Optimist club of Monroe, Gabrielle Breadon, Essay Chair
