Our All Roads Lead to Optimism Journey Continues! Our 2nd Quarter conference will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn, Sun Prairie on Friday night February 17th and Saturday February 18th. *Room reservation link at the very bottom of this email.

Friday night February 17th we will have our Executive meeting- and following the meeting we will "journey on down the road" to N'Awlins for some Mardi Gras themed Hospitality. Bingo for the Foundation and more floating fun!

Saturday February 18th 9-4pm Our day is filled with opportunities for us to exchange ideas, learn about Optimistic programs & fundraisers, and take part in a hands-on experience to help our communities and ourselves.  Our Optimist store will be open for supplies and information too!

SPECIAL GUEST! I am excited to announce that we will be welcoming our International JOI Student president, Fatima. Fatima will be traveling from Canada to join us Friday evening and will be our guest presenter during our conference on Saturday. 

• DOUBLE THE FUN!  This is a perfect time to get the JOI students together for their own conference so we are Inviting all JOI clubs to come to the Hilton Garden Inn Sun Prairie on Saturday, February 18th for a JOI Conference just down the hall from our own conference.  The students will be able to talk and coordinate with Fatima too!  We are hoping to form a JOI District and elect a SWIS JOI Governor!  We will need 3 JOI clubs present in order to elect a JOI Governor.   

• JOI Chair Cory, and Michele are creating a flyer to distribute to the JOI clubs, please ask your adult clubs & the advisors to encourage the students to participate. 
• We will be combining with the students during particular times during the day so please do spread the word to your clubs and encourage them to join in this wonderful day in Sun Prairie!  We are working on heating things up—so expect a balmy 75-degree day in February--I'm Optimistic it's going to be a hot time-come see for yourself!  

Challenge! Let's Elevate the Raffle Experience!! Encourage your club to bring a basket for the Optimist Foundation raffle. Our Optimist Foundation helps fund multiple programs for children and is the heartbeat of Optimism!  The Raffle basket that generates the most interest, and gets the most raffle tickets in the bucket also wins a special honor for the club donating the basket!  The monies collected from the day's raffle will be donated to the OI Foundation in honor of that Club! So spread the word and get your clubs engaged! 

Service Project with a twist! Everyone is invited to bring new socks that we will donate- all sizes are welcome!  Everyone who brings a package of socks will receive a ticket to fun!
